Jay Maisel

I chose Jay Maisel as my famous photographer because I love all the color and detail in his photos.  He is known for his modern works.  I have always loved pictures of big buildings and cities when the sun is setting or rising and he has alot of those types of pictures.  As I have said before I am very new to the art of photography and this is the kind that has always attracted me in the past.

Outdoor

The top picture is the original picture.  This is a picture I took over the summer during the really bad storm that hit Fort Wayne.  I captured this picture while I was cleaning a hotel room.  The bottom picture is the edited picture.  I darkened this picture and burned the storm clouds to make it more dramatic.

Indoor

The top picture is the original and the bottom picture is edited using Photoshop.  This is my dog, Honey.  When I edited this picture, I increased my levels and brightness much higher to brighten the picture but also to bring out the markings on her face.  Her mom and dad were both full blood chocolate labs and so were the other puppies in her litter.  Honey is yellow but in this picture you can really see her chocolate markings.

My Name In Pictures

This was my first experience using Photoshop and I found it to be really difficult.  It is a little easier now that I had the opportunity to play with it but I have a far way to go!
