Editing

The top picture is from the first set of pictures I took.  The idea of the picture was to capture the side lighting on the apple.  You can see in the first picture all the extras around the sides.  You can see the kitchen door and counter top on the right and kitchen equipment on the left.  After editing the picture, I cropped out the extras from both sides.  I also increased the shadows to increase the side light on the fruit. 

Picasa Editing

The first picture posted is my original photo.  The second picture is the edited version from Picasa.  In editing this picture I increased the highlights more than half and the shadows about a quarter.  I did warm the photo just a little bit.  I wanted to make the wine bottle more of a focus in the second picture but still have a hint of the fireplace in the background.  I feel like the fireplace sets the mood of the photo.
